Mengding Mountain Tea: Long History, Traditional Charms

Mengding Mountain tea, with a long history of artificial cultivation and more than a thousand years of tribute tea tradition, is the treasure of Chinese famous tea. The name "Ganlu" as the name of tea can be traced back to the third year of Baoqing of Li Zong of the Southern Song Dynasty (1227 A.D.), when Wang Xiangzhi recorded in "Yiyi Jisheng": "There is Ganlu tea on Shangqing Peak, and the mountain is often shadowed by Ruixiang." IV. Differences in standards for fresh leaf raw materials

Meng Ding Ganlu tea is mainly young buds, picked at the spring equinox each year, requiring a single bud or a bud and a leaf at the beginning of the show, the special grade Meng Ding Ganlu more requires buds solid heart and fat.

Mengding Huangya adopts the yellow tea production process, the main steps include killing, smothering, baking, etc. Among them, smothering is the key step to form the unique quality of Mengding Huangya.
