Oolong tea brewingIt is not only a skill, but also an art. The correct brewing method can maximize the aroma and flavor of oolong tea. The following steps are carefully designed to ensure that every cup of oolong tea is of perfect quality.
Step 1: Preheat the tea set
First, choose a moderate-sized purple clay pot as the ideal container for brewing oolong tea. Open the lid and slowly fill the pot with boiling water up to two-thirds of the way up the pot, then gently shake the pot so that the hot water evenly touches the walls. This process not only cleans the teapot, but also warms it up for the brewing process that follows.
Step 2: Place the tea leaves
Select 7-8 grams of the finest oolong tea and place smaller pieces of tea leaves first, followed by full strips of tea leaves to ensure a smooth and unobstructed flow of water. Afterwards, gently pour boiling water for a short washing process to remove dust and impurities from the surface of the tea leaves.
Step 3: Precise brewing
Holding the pot in a high brewing position, allow the boiling water to slowly infuse along the walls of the pot until the water level is close to the mouth of the pot. Put the lid on the pot and let it sit for 15 seconds to allow the oolong tea to fully release its unique aroma and flavor inside the purple sand pot. Once the brewing is complete, pour the tea into a fair cup, strain out the dregs, and distribute evenly into individual tasting cups to enjoy your cup of carefully brewed oolong tea.
By following these steps, each brew ensures that the aroma and flavor of oolong tea is perfectly displayed, bringing you a pleasant tea tasting experience.
